Leslie Kleppe always dreamed of being a teacher. She joined East Bank Learning Center in 2006 as center director and eventually became owner and executive director. Her spirit inspired a lasting legacy of leadership. Her commitment to high quality early childhood education was recognized with accomplishments including NAEYC accreditation, Hoosier Educator of the Year, 4-Star Paths to Quality rankings and The Samaritan Outstanding Leadership Award. However Leslie’s greatest impact lives on in the thousands of positive relationships built with teachers, parents, community leaders, and most importantly, the children she served. Leslie’s philosophy of “a childhood like no other” is a hallmark of the ongoing mission of East Bank Learning Center now and into the future.
